Stevenson Consulting, Inc. is a full service engineering consulting firm serving the Mid-Atlantic and South regions of the US since 1984.  We have a career opportunity for a Clerk of the Works Project Inspector to oversee large construction projects for our Ashland, VA. office.

The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years’ experience on major building construction. Candidate should have in-depth knowledge of industry standards. Candidate should be a highly organized, career oriented, motivated, team player.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

• Able to read contracts, building plans & specs
• Able to understand construction codes and standards
• Maintaining punch list and project documentation
• Attend project meetings
• Produce weekly reports
• Tracking projects cost and schedules
• Dealing directly with clients
• Assisting with managing field inspectors
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Previous experience as Clerk of Works desired

Requirements:

• Experience with Construction Materials Testing
• Must be available for possible off-shift hours including weekends
• A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record is required
• Excellent observational skills
• Able to lift 40-60 lb. equipment
• Able to walk construction sites and climb ladder(s)
• Able to multi-task and meet deadlines
