Stevenson Consulting, Inc. is an engineering consulting firm serving the Mid-Atlantic and Gulf Coast regions of the US since 1984. We are seeking motivated construction ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN to join our team in Ashland, VA.

This is an opportunity to join a high-profile, long-term project as an integral member of the quality assurance/quality control team. Experience with control/quality assurance practices, concrete/soils practices, and deep foundation practices is a plus.

Key responsibilities:

• Testing samples of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry and asphalt
• Observing and recording concrete pouring, placement and curing procedures
• Preparing field reports and assisting with laboratory testing
• Daily interaction with clients and team members
• Other related tasks as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Work experience in construction industry
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability to work off-shift hours, including some weekends
• Valid driver’s license, with satisfactory driving history
