Charlottesville, VA – June 13, 2019 – Stevenson Consulting, Inc., a full-service engineering consulting firm, recently announced that John Y. Gooch, P.E., has joined the company as their Branch Manager for their Charlottesville location. John will be responsible for construction testing and inspection services, laboratory testing services, quality assurance and geotechnical engineering services. Mr. Gooch supervises both concrete and soils laboratory facilities, monitors and directs staff, prepares cost estimates and bidding for geotechnical construction testing and inspection service contracts, and prepares and reviews geotechnical and construction material engineering reports.

Gooch has over 41 years of experience in the construction industry, with extensive experience working on residential, commercial and government projects.

Mr. Gooch holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia.
