The largest indoor arena in Virginia, the John Paul Jones Arena opened in 2006 and is named Paul Tudor Jones’ father. In memorial of an Admiral John Paul Jones of Revolutionary War fame (not Paul Tudor Jones’ father), the words “I Have Not Yet Begun To Fight” are inscribed in the arena. The new arena now seats 14,593 persons as the home for the Virginia Cavaliers men’s and women’s basketball teams.
