Phase I (extension to Wiehle Ave.) included approximately 3 miles of elevated rail line (aerial structures), nearly a mile of tunnel and an additional 7 miles of at-grade rail line. Five new station facilities and modifications to the West Falls Church Rail Yard were performed, along with approximately eight miles of retaining wall. Contracted to perform a variety of onsite testing and special inspections for owner, MWAA. Staffing plan included a full-time registered engineer, two full-time project managers, a full-time laboratory manager and as many as 30 inspectors.
